14th March 2012...a flock of 25 curlews on pond, lapwings,and pheasants
31st March 2012...just seen curlews, Buzzards, and lots of hares
29th March to 5th April 2012... Stayed at Broadgate Farm this week, we have seen the following :-            2 oyster catchers, 3 buzzards, 1 hen harrier, 1 cross bill, lapwings, partridge, curlews, tree creepers, starlings, kestrals, woodpecker and lots of hares.

Broadgate Farm Bird Hide

During you stay at Broadgate Farm you can visit our bird hide which overlooks the scraps on the next field which encourages wading birds or admire the views of the local area.

Honeysuckle on the farm

Flowering honeysuckle not only gives us a lovely smell and colourful flowers to admire but is ideal for the birds and bees.

Vacancies at 'Bug Inn'

Situated next to the stream in a quiet shady part of the garden insects and bugs can also enjoy the benefits of staying at Broadgate Farm.

Lapwing Chicks

Whilst Brian was bringing the cows into milk this morning he saw some lapwing chicks in the field next to the house, he thought they were about 2 weeks old.

17th June 2011
we have seen lapwings, curlews, snipe, swifts and swallows whilst walking here today. What a nice quiet place to visit.

Farmer busy in fields, plenty of black bales, there are lots of crows, seagulls, along with curlews, lapwings and many small pheasants.
