Lapwing Survey

Early this morning 2 volenteers from the RSPB walked round the fields at Broadgate Farm as part of this years lapwing survey. They saw some interesting sightings including the following birds:- Curlews, Lapwings, Snipe, Oyster Catchers, Whimbrels, a Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Jays, Long Tailed Tits, a Buzzard, Cahffinches, and Chiff Chaffs. They also saw many pheasants, partridge and hares.

BUT NOW IT’S TIME TO RUN

After sitting very quietly this hare decided it was time for a run.

A LAZY AFTERNOON

It may be very chilly but this brown hare is enjoying a quiet break

Dry but still cold

Just been checking old blogs, the daffodils were out, bright and yellow on 21st March 2009, I don't think they will out yet whilst many are still nestled in snow

Easter Weekend 2013
